Rola von Riesa is a beautiful 2 year old German Shepherd on the smaller side. (40 lbs) A super smart and clever girl, Rola thrives on forming a connection with her people first, then once she does her sweet and playful side truly shines and she is affectionate and fun. She needs someone who understands her and can manage introductions to new people. One of our smartest dogs, she loves to train and is happy to show off her skills with just verbal cues - she knows Sit, Down, Paw and Bark, and shows excellent recall. A star on leash, she walks at a lovely, steady pace right by your side, staying connected with her handler. Rola walks well alongside other dogs, and does okay in playgroups, tending to keep to herself, but at times she'll find a dog she likes and will happily play. (She's a no for cats.) She enjoys fetching a ball, playing with toys, and playing in water. She is such an engaging, bright and fun girl for someone who appreciates a smart dog who bonds deeply.
